Global electricity events open opportunities for Brazilian projects

PennWell do Brasil opened submission for Brazilian professionals and researchers to present their projects during the conferences in the country

Sao Paulo, 11 of February 2014 – PennWell do Brasil, organizer of the biggest electric power generation, transmission, and distribution events around the world, is returning to Brazil for a 4th consecutive year, hosting the globally-respected POWER-GEN Brasil, HydroVision Brasil and DistribuTECH Brasil right here in Sao Paulo’s Transamerica Expo Center. The three events will take place from 21st through the 23rd of October and will offer a unique opportunity for professionals in the electric sector: the chance to present their projects and research for the events’ participants, composed of business leaders and industry executives, from around the world.

Professionals interested in conducting a presentation at the conference should submit an abstract about their project or research, containing 150-300 words, through the on-line form available at, until the 24th of February. The received abstracts will be analyzed, evaluated and selected by Committees of industry experts from throughout the world. Selections will be announced by the beginning of May.

Spanning from generation, with particular focus on hydropower, to transmission and distribution, the three events receive a large number of professionals of the following areas in the electricity sector: Private and independent power producers; Research and development, Operations and maintenance; Infrastructure; Civil, mechanical and electrical engineering; Fuel providers; IT and software; Owners and operators of Hydropower projects; Manufacturers and suppliers; Public services of electrical transmission and distribution, among others.

The events have the institutional support from several important electric power-related associations in Brazil, including ABRADEE, ABRAGET, and ABRATE.
